"I don't want to be conventionally beautiful..." - Kols

I don't want to be conventionally beautiful. I like that. I saw it on my friend's fb account and I loved it 'cause I can perfectly relate. Who's with us? I bet I won't see plenty of hands raised but it doesn't really matter. In this world where media says you have to be pretty (which means possessing everything in the list: long beautiful hair - brown to be specific, sparkling eyes, pointed nose, fair complexion, perfect white teeth, sexy lips, slim, tall, etc.) to be adored, it's hard to find people who just wanted to look the way they should and be contented of what they have. Can we blame it to the creator of Barbie? I don't know. My boyfriend says I shouldn't.

Further in her status, she said "what I really want and what I never get is to be appreciated". Hits straight to the heart. It's what we all wanted to say. It's all that we need. I hope discrimination ends, no matter how impossible. And I'm starting it with me. :)
